china? who's china? what's china?

who doesn't know china is a land of piracy and cheap labour? it's splashed all over the news that china industries are known for copying foreign brands and then selling the products for a much lower price. why should it be surprising that the price difference is so great? of course the price would be lower since the quality of it was compromised. besides, they didn't have to spend the money to do market and technology research. all they had to do was copy. how much money does it take to copy something? even photocopying a piece of document is cheaper than printing the actual one. *rolls eyes* if china was so capable, then why does she have to resort to such lowdown means?

i quote and unquote Forbes:
"BYD has 1500 engineers dedicated to disassembling competitors' cars..."

there you go. 1500 engineers. and this is only 1 company. how utterly disgusting.

ever wondered why labour in china is cheap too? well its like currency. too much money in circulation, you get inflation and then the value of the currency drops. you get the drift... can it be any more obvious? hah.

again from Forbes:
"China hands out 220000 basic engineering degrees a year. The U.S. hands out only 60000..."
why then, aren't the american students doing engineering?
"Maybe the American students are acting rationally to prefer law and medicine. The world is going to be flooded with Chinese and Indian engineering talent. Why compete with those low wages?"

yeah with the rising piracy and copying of foreign brands in China, we would definitely be needing more lawyers as the foreign brands are taking the china pirates to court.
